After engaging with a woman on TikTok, an amputee without legs took to the platform to reprimand the woman for parking in a handicapped space. Jessica Long, 28, a celebrated swimmer who took home one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals from the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, criticised the unnamed individual on January 13 for thinking she had no right to the area despite having a handicap parking ticket.

She says in the now-viral TikTok, “So, it just happened again.” “I was parking my car — and I hope she sees this — and this woman just has the nerve to look me up and down, disgusted that I parked in the handicapped spot.”

Additionally, this was not a one-time event.I receive 2-4 comments.

Jessica Long developed a TikTok to warn others not to assume things after she had to justify herself for parking in a handicapped spot.

The incident began when a woman disrespectfully glared at Jessica’s car as she parked there as soon as she came up next to it.

But Jessica lost her legs and is an amputee.

Jessica claimed that she constantly feels offended when people call her out for parking in handicap spaces. “I understand that I don’t ‘appear’ disabled, but what exactly does that mean? I can’t even begin to list how many operations I’ve had. All my life, I’ve had to adjust. I rely on my disability ID card. Every day is unique… My legs hurt most of the time, yet occasionally they don’t hurt as much. I therefore need to park in a disabled space. Although some people may abuse handicap parking, I think most people need it.

The woman who has amassed 4.2 million views on her video was born with a condition known as fibular hemimelia.
